We haven’t been on the Long Trail for more than 2 years! It was about time we made friends with an old acquaintance. Speaking of friends, we got out on the trail with some new friends today, which helped to liven up this otherwise blah section.

This section of the Appalachian Trail is notable for Stratton Pond and Stratton Mountain. Unfortunately, the bugs kept us from seeing the pond and the clouds kept us from seeing many views from the mountain.
A stupid mouse ate half of my Snickers and part of my pack. Well, actually the mouse was smart. I was stupid for forgetting about that Snickers overnight.
Our second ever backpacking trip. We chose this section to see some awesome views. Instead we got plenty of clouds and a very gnarly trail for beginners. What a rude awakening!
